以「戏中戏」的嵌套方式讲述一个惊悚版「呼啸山庄」的故事，前半段略带搞笑，高潮部分一气呵成，最后还有一丝对类型作品的讽刺。Peter Cushing, John Carradine, Christopher Lee, Vincent price群星荟萃。

为三位恐怖片皇帝和恍如隔世的结尾加一星，戏里戏外都是自娱自乐的重聚。Vincent Price, Chistopher Lee和Peter Cushing三个老友开了个怀旧派对，邀来了John Carradine，科学怪人的新娘Elsa Lanchester因病缺席
整体节奏有点拖沓，不过情节还挺有新意，感觉不错。

血魔传奇 Danza macabra (1964)+复出 The Comeback (1978)混合版。当然看点并不是故事套路，看点是弥漫整部影片的怀旧气息，从台词到演员都充满了难忘的回忆，或许对于观众来说能够看到这几张老脸已经很满足了。PS除了普莱斯，库欣，李，以外还有令人惊喜的约翰.卡拉丁和理查德.托德。
